For some positions, the City and County of Denver conducts pre-employment assessments to evaluate the skills and capabilities of our applicants. We conduct these assessments both online and in-person. For information on which positions require online testing, click here.

Assessment/test deadlines cannot be extended unless there are extenuating circumstances that are beyond an applicant’s control. Extension requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Requests for extensions should be sent via email to email@example.com. Please provide your full name, position applying for and rationale for why deadline was missed in your email message.

Online assessments have a 6 month waiting period to retake them. Online skills tests can be retaken when the next recruitment opens. For a list of positions that require online assessments or tests click here
