ASSESSMENTS & TESTING

 
 

A city as vibrant and dynamic as Denver requires strong leaders at every level of the organization to create a culture of continuous learning. Individuals who will strengthen their capabilities and management and who will coach and develop strong contributors prepared to meet the evolving opportunities a growing city. Therefore, as part of the application process, candidates who meet minimum qualifications will be required to take an on-line supervisor competency assessment. 

Safe Sender Lists. All communications regarding assessments will come from AssessmentTeam@denvergov.org. Please make sure to check your email spam and junk folders  for our communications. Also, add AssessmentTeam@denvergov.org to your safe senders list to ensure you receive our emails.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Check your junk or spam folder. The email will come from AssessmentTeam@denvergov.org. We recommend you add AssessmentTeam@denvergov.org to your “safe sender” list in your email account. If you do not receive the email by the end of the day on the date listed in the notification email please contact us at AssessmentTeam@denvergov.org

If you experience any technical difficulties accessing or taking the tests, please contact SHL by submitting an online request for assistance. To submit an online request, please copy and paste https://support.shl.com/candidate into your internet browser. You will then need to select the issue you need assistance with and submit an assistance request form.

Assessment/test deadlines cannot be extended unless there are extenuating circumstances that are beyond an applicant’s control. Extension requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Requests for extensions should be sent via email to assessmentteam@denvergov.org. Please provide your full name, position applying for and rationale for why deadline was missed in your email message.

Results will be available through your applicant profile 3 - 5 business days after the assessment deadline has passed. View a step by step guide.

Online assessments have a 6 month waiting period to retake them. Online skills tests can be retaken when the next recruitment opens.
