Ride Along Program

The Public Health Inspections division offers unique opportunities for citizens, students, or anyone interested in a career with a public health enforcement agency to accompany an investigator during their duties to learn more about the division's mission. Those interested in participating in a ride along must submit a brief application to the division for consideration and will be contacted if the application is approved.

The division conducts inspections and complaint investigations in many different programs such as Food Safety, Swimming Pools, Body Art, and Noise. Within the application you can indicate what type of inspection you would like to observe and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Please be advised that applicants interested in accompanying an Investigator during an inspection of a child care facility will need to provide the division with appropriate background checks at their expense prior to being approved. Read More About the Program Here.
