How it works:

Join the four week challenge by logging on to and scroll down and click On the Move and then Let's Do This. Join a team of up to 10 people or go it alone as a team of one.

On July 18 start logging the number of minutes you are physically active each day on or on the Viverae app (Apple Store|Google Play). You can earn up to 90 minutes each day.

The goal: log 500 minutes of physical activity by the end of the challenge and earn 50 points!

Win a Fitbit Flex 2:

  • Each member of the team with the most points will win a Fitbit Flex 2
  • The individual with the most points will also win a Fitbit Flex 2

Everyone who participates and logs at least 500 minutes during the four week challenge will earn 50 points for the quartely dawing. Find out more about the How to win quarterly prizes in the Wellness Incentive information below.

As you log your activity, send your Sweaty Selfies to for a chance to win a prize and have your picture posted on the Denver Wellness Facebook page. We'll have a drawing each week of the challenge. Send as many Sweaty Selfies as you like, but you can only win one time during the four weeks.

Wellness Incentive

The Healthy Steps Incentive Program has been approved! Health-plan covered employees may earn a $240 paycheck payment in December 2017, AND a $300 HSA deposit or premium reduction (HSA deposit for the high deductible plan employees, premium discount for the DHMO plan employees) in 2018. This is a great benefit addition to our health plan coverage!

Plus, all employees who are eligible to receive medical benefits from the city, even those who waive the benefit, may participate to earn points and prizes through the wellness portal.

Wellness Portal Login Instructions

All benefits eligible City and County of Denver employees can log on to or the Viverae app to start the program. Download the mobile app by searching "Viverae" in the Apple Store or Google Play.

  1. Go to

  3. Use your employee ID as your identifier
  4. Enter registration code Denver

Eligible employees must register on the new, online wellness portal in order to complete the requirements of the program and receive the incentive. Log on to and register by entering your last name, birthday, employee ID number and the registration code Denver. The portal will guide you to the incentive program components. This year the requirements of the program are as follows:

  • Complete the member health assessment
  • Take the physician screening form to your doctor to fill out and upload to
  • Enter the dates of three of your most recent preventive care screenings (dentist appointment, cancer screenings etc.) 

All of the required screenings must be completed on or before October 31, 2017; physician forms must be uploaded to by October 31, 2017. You must register for the website by October 15, 2017 in order to participate in the incentive program.

Every employee who is eligible for benefits through the city can log in to and earn points toward prize drawings, even if the employee waives the medical benefit through the city. 

By completing peer challenges, attending on-site classes at city locations and uploading proof of attendance, watching webinars, participating in challenges, joining four week targeted programs and linking fitness apps and devices to the portal to track steps, employees can earn points. If you earn 100 points a quarter, you will be entered to win one of three prizes worth up to $250. Check out the prizes here! The winners will be chosen at the end of the quarter. Each employee can only win once a year.

The registration limit for the Kaiser Permanente, Omada® program has been reached. More spots will be available in January 2018.

The Denver Wellness 15 for Me Challenge rewards you for taking the time to take care of yourself. Take 15 minutes each day to relax, unwind, take a deep breath, look away from the screens and notifications, and just let go.

  • Go to and log in (registration instruction above)
  • Click on Well-Being, and then Activity. Then choose Available Challenges and “Let’s do this!”

Here’s how the challenge works: Award yourself one point for taking 15 minutes a day to engage in healthy, stress-management activities, such as mindful breathing, going for a walk, turning off all electronics, talking with a friend, etc. The 15 For Me Challenge runs: May 1–31 2017, but you can sign up for it now! Earn 50 points for participating in the challenge. When you earn 100 points this quarter you will be entered to win one of three $250 prizes from Wishlist! 

Denver Wellness introduces Weigh and Win!

A FREE program that rewards you for being healthy!

Earn cash for weight improvement or other prizes for participating.  Weigh and Win helps you incorporate healthy eating and active living habits into your daily routine through daily emails and/or text messages with personalized coaching on nutrition, physical activity, and more.

Supporting the Heart & Stroke Walk helps your colleagues and community by supporting research and heart health education around the country. This year the Denver Heart & Stroke Walk has a new look and location that you don’t want to miss! Come early for a unique outdoor experience in yoga, barre, spinning or a 5K run. At 10:00 a.m. let’s show Colorado how much we can do together to fight heart disease and stroke by walking either 1-mile or a 5K (3.2 miles). Along the route, you will be entertained by local musicians and find the best spots to take epic photos with the Broncos stadium, the Denver skyline, and more as we fill the streets together!

Denver Wellness is proud to once again offer convenient mammogram screenings to our employees. Through our partnerships with Kaiser Permanente and University of Colorado Hospital, employees will have the opportunity to get a free mammogram screening at the Castro Building, 1200 Federal Blvd. Kaiser Permanente members can be screened on Tuesday, September 27, 9:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. and all other employees can be screened on Thursday, September 29, 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

We encourage employees to take advantage of this free screening opportunity. Early detection is the best protection!
