What is a Special Event?

A special event is defined as a race, parade, festival, etc. that utilizes public property in the City and County of Denver (such as a street closure or park), is temporary, and/or requires approval by more than one city agency.

What is a Film Production?

Film production is defined as a commercial shoot that takes place on public property including family/senior photo shoots, commercials, feature films and more. A Denver film permit is needed for any film/photography production on public property when any of the following apply: the cast/crew of 5 or more people; takes places in a Denver Park (regardless of cast/crew size); and will block pedestrian or vehicular traffic (regardless of cast/crew size).
