General Statement of Work: The City and County of Denver is seeking a qualified contractor to perform integrated demolition services. It is anticipated that the types of work issued under this contract may entail project management services, property management services, facility demolition, facility abatement, and site-specific remediation for several facilities.  This contract will be executed through a Work Order arrangement with either Not to Exceed (NTE) or lump sum pricing to be completed prior to the Notice to Proceed (NTP) for each project management, property management, demolition, abatement, and/or site-specific remediation Work Order.  The contract term will be 3 years from execution.

Prequalification Requirements

Each prime contractor must be prequalified as a 2A General Building or 2B Demolition at the $6,000,000.00 monetary level in accordance with the City’s Rules and Regulations Governing Prequalification of Contractors.  Each prime contractor must have submitted a prequalification application a minimum of ten (10) calendar days prior to the bid opening date.  Applications must be submitted to the Department of Public Works, Prequalification Section, 201 W. M/WBE Participation: The Project goal of 18% for Minority and Women Business Enterprise (M/WBE) Participation has been set for the work identified in this RFQ and must be met with certified participants as set forth in Section 28-60(b).  Certain contracts let by means of a competitive process require proposers to address the project goal by means of a compliance plan, as authorized by the Director.  The successful proposer must be prepared to submit a Compliance Plan upon Notice of Selection, as a component of contract negotiations and award.

Prevailing Wage: Contracts for demolition, construction, reconstruction, and remodeling are subject to the City prevailing wage rate requirements established pursuant to Section 20-76, D.R.M.C.

As the City’s best interests may appear, the Executive Director of Public Works reserves the right to waive informalities in, and to reject any or all, submittals.
