The holidays listed below are observed by the City and County of Denver, and shall be granted to all employees except on-call employees. Some employees may be required to work on a holiday(s) in order to maintain essential services to the city.
Due to the financial deficit caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the city has made the difficult decision of implementing furlough days. There will be eight furlough days, five of which are scheduled around holidays and Denver Public School closures and three that are flexible for employees.
