Billing and Rates

The City's sanitary sewers and storm drainage facilities are completely independent systems. Storm drainage facilities keep storm water safe, removing as many pollutants as possible from the water and creating a safe flow for storm water during storms or snow melts. These facilities are massive in scope and must be engineered, operated and maintained.

Billing

Storm Drainage — calculated annually based on a formula using the lot size, the total impervious (or impermeable) surface area, and our billing rates. This calculation is applied in the same manner whether the property is residential, commercial or industrial. Starting July 1, 2016, this annual fee will be billed semi-annually.
